Hormones through the years

Skagen sunset – bright horizons

Menopause is a funny thing, it doesn’t matter our race or ethnicity we will or are experiencing this change. Whether we have symptoms or not or associate them with menopause our hormones change and our bodies too. With more than 30 symptoms it’s difficult to decipher if they are menopausal or not! I’m grateful I’ve come to experience it with knowledge and understanding. With great science, researchers and thankfully more women in the game it is extremely positive. So I think it’s a time of celebration. I’m glad to be healthy, happy, alive and kicking.

No wonder perimenopause is often referred to as our 2nd adolescence. Our hormones have a similar pattern then slow down similar to childhood. Interesting eh?

I’m running forward with speed and more haste. I know for sure I have less years ahead of me. I’m more determined than ever to make this 2nd half count. Are you?
