I can’t remember

I can’t remember my last one (period)
I think it’s only possible if you keep a diary and I didn’t. What I do know is that on my 50th birthday all was well, fine and dandy! Changes in my period started around 51, they were heavier unusual for me and sporadic. Between 52 and 53 she arrived and left for ever, needless to say no fanfare or celebration.
I mean it’s not like buying a new pair of shoes, you know nothing momentous. A pair of Manolos I would have remembered, maybe I was suffering brain fog and didn’t realise. Jokes aside I know women who have suffered brain fog during this time and pregnancy, rather frustrating to say the least. (If you can remember your partner/husband’s name then all is not lost)

My first irritating symptom was waking around 4am more often than not, strange as sleeping is something I’d say I’m pretty good at. I did all the things, no coffee before bed, drinking water, reduced screen time none of which worked plus I was studying and my final exam was approaching. In hindsight maybe my interrupted sleep was a combination of my studies and symptoms. Anyway this impacted my concentration. I did the recommended, taking a break, getting fresh air, going for a run, all helped a little however I still couldn’t concentrate for long periods of time, which was annoying. Sleep is my foundation to my mood and well-being, I can’t function well without it!
Has your sleep been effected?
